For delegates seeking a true Model United Nations challenge, VYMUN 2019’s Advanced Crisis Committee (ACC) will investigate a future crisis based on the issues of today. Delegates will face numerous twists and turns as they navigate the lies, deceit, and betrayal of their own committee members in this immersive crisis experience.

ACC is designed for advanced delegates wishing to challenge themselves in a fast-paced crisis committee. Position papers are required to aid delegates in feeling prepared for the conference

Edison Tan

Co-Director

Currently a junior in West Point Grey Academy, Edison is thrilled to be directing ACC at VYMUN 2019. Since starting MUN in Grade 9, Edison has been enraptured by the diplomatic and competitive experience. In participating in multiple conferences as both delegate and staff, Edison strives to create an engaging, fun, and exciting committee for all delegates. Even though Edison might not get to know all delegates at VYMUN, he is sure to make new friends and memorable times. If you have any questions, feel free to send him an email! Beyond MUN, Edison loves to debate, Netflix, and will never turn down bubble tea.

Annushka Agarwal

Co-Director

Annushka is in grade ten at West Point Grey Academy and could not possibly be more delighted to be directing ACC at VYMUN 2019. She went to her first Model UN conference in grade seven and has since enjoyed attending several conferences, despite frequently being the only delegate on a crisis committee to oppose the use of nuclear technology. When she’s not spending her weekends hiding from scary delegate socials, she likes to debate, kayak, and build robotic alligators. Annushka can’t wait to meet the delegates this fall!

Evan Rees-Wiedemann

Chair

Evan is a Senior at St. George’s School. He is excited to join the VYMUN 2019 team as the Chair of the Advanced Crisis Committee. Ever since Evan’s first conference- VYMUN 2016- he has been passionate about diplomacy, human rights, and global affairs. He enjoys traveling, watching movies, and playing hockey, basketball, and ultimate. He has attended nine conferences as a delegate including NHSMUN in New York City. Evan has staffed once before, as the Assistant Director of the International Law Commission at ConnectMUN 2018. Evan is eager for VYMUN 2018 to begin so he can meet all of the delegates in the ACC. He is certain that this iteration of VYMUN will be memorable, fun, and successful.
