Vancouver Youth Model United Nations was founded in 2005 with the goal of introducing younger delegates (grades 7-10) to the world of Model UN. VYMUN strives to provide students with an educational experience that allows them to explore global issues in a learning-based environment. Over the course of the weekend, delegates develop diplomacy, public speaking, and negotiation skills, all the while grasping a more thorough understanding of international relations and world affairs.
After the success of the last VYMUN, our conference will be hosted for the fourth time at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. From its grand yet charming front lobby to its glorious conference rooms and cozy guest rooms, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler exudes a feeling of comfortable elegance. Their conference space includes three divisible grand ballrooms and multiple meeting rooms to fit our needs. The resort is nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, a short stroll from the boutiques and cafes of the villages. However, if you don’t feel like leaving the hotel, Fairmont Chateau also has six different restaurants right in the hotel!
We are both excited and honored to be situated at the Fairmont Chateau this year.
