Justin Jia

A Grade 11 student attending West Point Grey Academy, Justin is overjoyed to serve as your director for UNODC at VYMUN 2019! Attending his first conference in Grade 9, Justin has found the world of Model United Nations fascinating and educational to learn about international affairs. Aside from writing mediocre MUN bios and trying to reserve seats at restaurants during MUN’s, Justin can be seen with his one (1) AirPod, playing Minecraft, and struggling to read Les Miserables. Despite being a big procrastinator, Justin also enjoys painting portraits of Peppa Pig, and struggling to find vertical asymptotes. He can’t wait to see you all in UNODC and is looking forward to some fruitful and eventful debate!

Catherlin Lu

Now in her sophomore year at WPGA, Catherlin is ecstatic to be the chair of UNODC at VYMUN 2019. She began her endeavors in Model UN in grade 7, and she has since attended multiple conferences with the same bubbling enthusiasm as her first. Being apart of MUN allowed her to dive into and fall in love with a world of nuanced ideas, diverse perspectives and interact with intelligent and forward thinking fellow MUNers: a world that she hopes you will treasure too. On the occasion that she isn’t scourging for facts about her delegated country, you can find her crying during Endgame, dancing through life and always emptying her wallet on food. Catherlin encourages all of you to step out of your comfort zones and dance until your legs begin to wobble at the social. She is beyond excited to meet all of you MUNers next October, and until then, she wishes you all luck in your research and preparation!

Pierre Collet

Assistant Chair

Currently a sophomore at West Point Grey Academy, Pierre is eager to be an assistant director. He finds Model UN fun and wants to share his experience with you. Out of school you can find Pierre playing video games. He wishes you all a great time in UNODC and VYMUN 2019.

Kiera Gadalla

Assistant Director

Currently in tenth grade at WPGA, Keira is delighted to be the Assistant Director of UNODC at VYMUN 2019. She attended her first conference when she was in grade nine and has continued to have a passion for Model UN ever since. The interesting topics that are discussed and the intense debates are things you can only experience through MUN. During her free time, Keira enjoys watching Netflix, spending time with her friends, and taking naps. She is looking forward to another great year of VYMUN and can’t wait to meet you all in October, see you then!
